Tips for your big day!

Here are some tips and tricks to help prepare your skin for your wedding day

Stay hydrated. Drink plenty of water in the weeks leading up to your wedding, and especially on the day itself. Staying hydrated helps support healthy, glowing skin and keeps your complexion looking fresh for makeup application.
Maintain a consistent skincare routine. Looking after your skin in the lead-up to your wedding will help your makeup apply more smoothly and last longer throughout the day.
Schedule facials and facial treatments in advance. If you're planning to have a facial, waxing, or any other facial treatment, try to book it at least two weeks before your wedding. This allows plenty of time for your skin to recover in case of any irritation or unexpected reactions.
Skip face masks on your wedding day. Many face masks leave behind nourishing serums that can pill or ball up under makeup, making it more difficult to achieve a smooth, flawless finish.
Avoid a lash lift if you're wearing false lashes. If you plan to wear false lashes on your wedding day, it's best not to have a lash lift immediately beforehand. Lifted natural lashes can make false lashes more difficult to apply and prevent them from blending seamlessly.
If you experience a breakout, don't stress! Redness is usually easy to conceal with professional makeup. The best thing you can do is avoid picking at blemishes, as scabs and uneven texture are much more difficult to cover than redness alone.

Tips for the day
Create a hair and makeup schedule. Having a schedule for your bridal party helps ensure everyone is ready on time and that the morning runs smoothly without anyone waiting around or feeling rushed. If possible, please have everyone ready to begin when I arrive.
Arrive with a clean face. Everyone having their makeup done should arrive with freshly cleansed skin and no makeup on. This allows us to start on time and helps makeup apply beautifully.
Wear the right clothing. Please wear a button-up shirt, robe, or another top that doesn't need to be pulled over your head. This helps protect your hair and makeup once they're finished.
Consider a touch-up kit. Your makeup is designed to last throughout the day, but small touch-ups can help keep you looking fresh from morning through to the dance floor. The areas that most commonly need attention are your lips and around the bottom of your nose, especially after eating, drinking, or happy tears. If you need to wipe your face or eyes, gently dab rather than wipe or rub, as this will help keep your makeup in place. During your trial, you'll have the opportunity to try the lipsticks and concealers I use, and you can decide if you'd like to purchase the same products for your day. Alternatively, I offer convenient touch-up kits. These include a small pot of your lipstick, a matching concealer, applicators, a makeup sponge, tissues, cotton buds, and blotting papers. For the bride a touch up kit is included in the price, for all others they are able to be purchased for $10.00 each.
Choose a space with plenty of natural light. If possible, please have a room or area available with good natural lighting for me to set up in. Natural light provides the best conditions for creating a flawless, true-to-colour makeup application.
